Penguin

Last night, Lizzy and I found ourselves fending off eager waiters topping up our drinks at the award ceremony for this year’s Penguin Design Award. After the unnervingly inbred nightmare of D&AD, it was a pleasure to meet some of the judges and shortlisted winners, and actually enjoy things for a moment. Where New Blood felt like walking around a car dealership, this was more like someone’s front room, albeit one with a staggering view..

And with that, I’m left a couple days grace before I start a month’s placement with StudioMakgill. Somewhere this month I’ll also be continuing to plan the second run of the Destroyer’s Rubies print, not to mention finally pushing I Am The Friction, 100 of which are now printed and currently being bound. I am also developing a smokeless fuel and inventing three languages.
